Destination: Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Nyaung - Bagan - Kalaw - Mt. Popa - Pindaya - Inle - Indien - Heho - Mandalay - Amarapura - Mingun

Day 01: Arrive Yangon

Traditionally welcome on arrival at Yangon airport andf assisted transfer to the hotel. Late afternoon, visit the Chaukhtatgyi - the colossal reclining Buddha; the Shwedagon Pagoda – an inspiring golden stupa and view the sunset from there. Stay overnight at Yangon.

 

Day 02: Yangon City Tour

After breakfast,full city tour of Yangon starts with a visit to city center and Sule Pagoda, the landmark of downtown Yangon, followed by National Museum, a unique place to learn more about Myanmar, its culture and people.

Afternoon visit Bogyoke Market formerly known as Scott Market, Chaukhtatgyi, the colossal reclining Buddha, followed by photographing at Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake. Also visit Botahtaung Pagoda, and view the sunset from Botahtaung Jetties. Overnight at Yangon.

 

Day 03: Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo

Today travel to the camp Kimpun (about 5 hours), from where the uphill motor road to hermit’s hill starts. Arrive Kimpun camp and take the uphill pickup truck to reach the hermit’s hill. A short trek, about an hour would take you to the top of the mountain where you can see the Golden Rock - a large boulder positioned well balanced on the cliff of that mountain - seems to be defying the force of gravity from the spur of the cliff. Enjoy sunset view over deep forested mountain. Stay overnight at Kyaikhtiyo.

 

Day 04: Kyakhtiyo – Bago - Yangon

After breakfast, descend the mountain to reach back to start our return journey back to Yangon. En-route visit Bago and sightseeing highlights include gigantic “Kyaikpun” Buddha Images; Shwemawdaw Pagoda - towering 375 feet and tDayer than Shwedagon; Shwethalyaung reclining Buddha Image – origin day built in 994 AD and is a masterpiece of Myanmar stucco and symmetry. Overnight at Yangon.

 

Day 05: Yangon – Nyaung – Bagan

Morning transfer to airport to fly to Bagan. Upon arrival at Bagan visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market, Shwezigon, Gubyaukgyi Temple, Anada Temple. Afternoon, we will visit a lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village. Before the sundown, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy River to view the sunset and relax. Stay overnight at Bagan.

 

Day 06: Bagan City Tour

After breakfast enjoy sightseeing tour and visit to Dhamayangyi, Sulamani Temple, Bagan temple, Myinkaba, Manuha Temple, Ngagayon Temple. We will also enjoy the visit sunset from the top of one of the temples. Stay overnight at Bagan.

 

Day 07: Bagan – Kalaw – Mt. Popa

Early breakfast drive to Kalaw. Enroute visit to Mt. Popa en-route, an extinct volcano at 65km south east of Bagan in the plain region of middle Myanmar and as the one of National parks in Myanmar with preserved forest. Climb the Taungkalat – believed to be the part of the main volcano blown apart and plugged at the current location.

Also stop at Meikhtila for refreshments and continue the drive to Kalaw with photo stops at your desired places along the way. Arrive Kalaw around late afternoon. Stay overnight at Kalaw.

 

Day 08: Kalaw – Pindaya - Inle

After early breakfast visit to the Nee Paya and Kalaw market. Later drive to Pindaya. On arrival visit to Pindaya Caves,  Botoloke Lake. Ethnic groups like Shan, Pao and Danu are living environs of Pindaya. Later drive to the Inle Lake. Stay overnight at Inle.

 

Day 09: Inle City Tour

Today we visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda, Ngaphechaung monastery and attractions include: unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Inthar, floating gardens used as vegetable plantations, silk and cotton weaving cottages and black smith. Later visit to the market, if time permit. Stay overnight at Inle.

 

Day 10: Indien – Heho – Mandalay (By Flight)

Enjoy the boating to the down south and into a twist and turn creek running into the lake to reach the Indein village. One can also have the chance to chat with villagers during the sightseeing time. In the evening, transfer to airport for Heho-Mandalay flight. Upon arrival at Mandalay, transfer to hotel. Stay overnight Mandalay.

 

Day 11: Excursion to Amarapura

After breakfast, enjoy the sightseeing of Mandalay and visit Mahamuni Buddha Image,  – believed to be cast in bronze in front of Buddha himself and gilded with thick gold leaf; gold leaf hammering, tapestry making, marble and wood carving and bronze casting.

After lunch drive to Amarapura. On arrival visit silk weaving factory, Mahargandaryone monastery, a typical monastic school; U Bein bridge, the world’s longest teak wood bridge across the Taungthaman Lake, an ideal place to enjoy the sunset. Return to Mandalay. Stay overnight at Mandalay.

 

Day 12: Mingun – Mandalay

After breakfast take Gawwein jetty to reach Mingun, located at the other side of the Ayeyarwaddy River and north of Mandalay. On arrival visit Pathodawgyi, Mingun bell, and Myatheindan pagoda, represents for Buddhist cosmology. Return to Mandalay.

Afternoon visit to Mandalay Royal Palace, Atumashi monastery, Shwenandaw monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda, and Mandalay Hill, regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay, to view the sunset. Stay overnight at Mandalay.

 

Day 13: Mandalay Departure

After leisurely breakfast at the hotel transfer to the airport for the international flight for your onward destination.
