Destination: Cochin - Munnar - Thekkady - Alleppey - Kovalam

Day 01: Cochin - Arrival & Sightseeing

You will be picked from Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station and taken to the hotel. Spent the afternoon with local sightseeing in and around Cochin - the Queen of Arabian Sea, this is one of the finest natural harbors in the World and was one of the major centers for commerce and trade with British, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch, etc. Sightseeing attractions in Cochin include Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets.

Overnight stay is arranged in Cochin

 

Day 02: Cochin - Munnar (100km/03:00hrs)

After Breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi - 2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara Waterfalls.

On arrival at Munnar Check in at Hotel and Stay overnight in Munnar.  

 

Day 03: Munnar Full Day Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight at the hotel in Munnar.

Later return to hotel. Stay overnight in Munnar.   

 

Day 04: Munnar – Thekkady (100km/03:00hrs)

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Thekkady, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Thekkady. One of the world's most fascinating wildlife reserves. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick evergreen forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Sightseeing in Thekkady: Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, Spice Plantation.

Later return to hotel. Stay overnight in Thekkady.

 

Day 05: Thekkady - Alleppey (145km/04:00hrs)

After breakfast checkout from Hotel and drive to Alleppey, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Alleppey. An important backwater destination attracting thousands of tourists every year, who come all the way to enjoy Alleppey for what it offers. Referred to as the Venice of the East, the place is home to diverse animal and bird life. Alleppey is also famous for its beaches, marine products, coir industry and boat races. A singularity of this land is the region called Kuttanad land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Sightseeing in Alleppey: Vembanad Lake, Alleppey Beach.

Overnight stay in at Hotel.

 

Day 06: Alleppey – Kovalam (175km/05:00hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the Hotel and drive to Kovalam; on arrival check-in into hotel. Kovalam is one of the prime beach destinations in India. Enjoy the evening watching a spectacular sunset or swimming at the picturesque Kovalam Beach.

Later return to hotel. Stay overnight in Kovalam.   

 

Day 07: Kovalam

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kovalam. On arrival check in to the hotel. Later proceed for local Sightseeing of Trivandrum OR enjoy your day at leisure or own activities. Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala. Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram is an ancient city with a history dating back as early as 1000 BC. Thiruvananthapuram is bound by the Arabian Sea in the west and Tamil Nadu in the east. Named after Anantha Padmanabha or Lord Vishnu, the city is home to many ancient temples. But the landmark is the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple around which the city has been built on seven low hills. The wooded highlands of the Western Ghats in the eastern and northeastern borders give Thiruvananthapuram some of the most enchanting picnic spots. A long shoreline with internationally renowned beaches, historic monuments, backwater stretches and a rich cultural heritage make this district a much sought-after tourist destination. Sightseeing in Trivandrum: Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Kuthira Maligai Palace, Zoo, Art Gallery (All places close on Monday except Padmanabhaswamy Temple).

Later return to hotel. Stay overnight in Kovalam.   

 

Day 08: Kovalam - Trivandrum Departure (15km/00:30hrs)

Morning after breakfast Proceed to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station to your way back home.
