Destination: Colombo - Sinharaja - Udawalawe - Bundala - Yala - Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains - Kandy - Wasgamuwa - Knuckle Valley - Negombo

Day 01: Arrive Colombo

Meet and assisted by Travel Consortium India tour co-ordinator in the arrival lounge followed by an assisted transfer to your designated hotel in Negombo for two nights stay.


Day 02: Colombo - Sinharaja

After breakfast proceeds to Sinharaja Rain forest, it’s a world heritage site, which can also be described as a Tropical Lowland Rainforest or Tropical Evergreen Wet Forest. Bird Watching in this ecosystem is particularly interesting because it is known to home of 95% of the endemic birds of Sri Lanka. Stay overnight at hotel in Sinharaja.

 

Day 03: Udawalawe

An early morning proceed to Udawalawa National Park with packed breakfast. Enjoy safari to seen Elephant in all their playfulness, whole herds of them, adults and babies bathing and playing in the water or feeding.

 

Day 04: Bundala – Yala

Morning visit to Bundala National Park to see crocodiles and migratory bird including flamingo, Indian Cormorant, Yellow Bittern, Black-crowned Night and Purple Herons to name few. Later travel to Yala. On arrival check in at the hotel for two nights stay.

 

Day 05: Yala

Today morning enjoy safari at Yala National park to see leopard. The male leopards in Yala are very confident animals and they are often seen walking the tracks during the day. National park is also a home for spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, wild buffaloes, sloth bear, jackal and mongoose.

 

Day 06: Yala - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast travel to Nuwara Eliya, en-route enjoys Tea tour, visit tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best Ceylon Tea in the world is produced. Afternoon free to explore this small but beautiful hill town and stay overnight at hotel.

 

Day 07: Horton Plains & Kandy

Enjoy an excursion at Horton Plains to "catch" the remaining Highland endemics. Located on a high windswept plateau at about 7,000 feet is perhaps the most awesome and forbidding region of Sri Lanka. Later travel to Kandy. On arrival visit the famous and sacred Temple of the Tooth relic. Stay overnight at hotel in Kandy.

 

Day 08: Wasgamuwa & Knuckle Valley

After breakfast proceed to Wasgamuwa via Knuckles valley, a major eco-tourism area stretches over 155 sq km and contains five major forest formations, a wide variety of rare and endemic flora and fauna and some breath taking mountain scenery. It is a real paradise for those who love to hike or Mountain Bike offering numerous mountainous trails that journey across clear rivers, through dense forests, past flowing waterfalls, lush tea plantations and alongside terraced paddy fields with colourful Kandyan home gardens. On arrival check in at the hotel for overnight stay in Wasgamuwa.

 

Day 09: Wasgamuwa - Negombo

Enjoy safari at Wasgamuwa National Park, presence of many small scale ancient reservoir and several other ruins and ancient religious sites add vast historical importance to this National Park and its wide biodiversity. Later travel to Negombo and evening free to explore this fishing town. Stay overnight at Negombo.

 

Day 10: Colombo Departure

After a leisurely breakfast direct transfer to the international airport to board your return flight.
