Mysterious North East India Tour
Book NowDay 01: Arrive Guwahati
Arrive at Guwahati airport and transfer to the hotel. Later visit Kamakhya temple and in the evening visit Srimantha Shankerdeva Kalashetra. Stay overnight in Guwahati.
Day 02: Guwahati – Shillong (130 Km / 3 ½ Hrs)
After breakfast, take a cruise on the Bramhaputra River upto the Umanda Temple on the worlds smallest rive island known as the Peacock Island on a country boat. Also visit Sualkuchi and Hajo. Later drive to Shilong. On arrival check in at the hotel for three nights stay.
Day 03: Shillong - Cherrapunjee (55 Km / 1 ½ Hrs / 1300 Mts) – Shillong
Today enjoy an excursion to Cherrapunjee – once the heaviest rainfall area in the world. At Cherrapunjee, we explore the Arwah Lumshynna cave, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, and Eco Park at Mawsmai etc. Enroute visit Mawphlang Sacred Forest, Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak overlooking the beautiful town. Return and stay overnight in Shillong.
Day 04: Shillong
After breakfast visit DBCIC Museum, Butterfly Museum, Shillong Golf Course, Ward’s Lake, Local Market and Archery Competition. Stay overnight in Shillong.
Day 05: Shillong – Kaziranga (290 Km / 07 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park. Arrive and check in at the hotel for two night stay.
Day 06: Kaziranga
After breakfast enjoy full day game drive inside the park with 01 Elephant Safari and 02 Jeep Safaris. Kaziranga National Park is a world heritage site, where more than 75% of the world’s total population of the great Indian One Honred Rhinoceros. In this wild life the Asiatic Water Buffalo, Elephant, Tigers, Swamp Deer, Barking Deer and Hog Deer can be seen. Stay overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 07: Kaziranga – Jorhat (80 Km / 02 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Jorhat. Arrive and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon option to play Golf. Stay overnight in Jorhat.
Day 08: Jorhat – Majuli - Jorhat
After breakfast drive Neematighat (25 Km/ 45 Mins) for ferry crossing to Majauli – the largest inhabited river island in the water and famous for the Vaishnavite Satras or monasteries (Kamalabari Satra, Auniati Satra, Bengati Satra ann many more) and culture. Return to mainland late in the evening and stay overnight in Jorhat.
Day 09: Jorhat – Sivasagar – Dibrugarh (145 Km / 03 ½ Hrs)
After breakfast travel to Dibrugarh. Enroute visit 13th century Ahom monuments and temples at Sivasagar which encompass the 600 year old history of the Ahom Dynasty. Arrive and check in at the hotel. In the evening enjoy a Dance Performance by an ethnic group of the Bungalow lawns. Stay to nights in Dibrugarh.
Day 10: Nature Walk, Tea Tour & Tea Tasting Session
After breakfast take a tea tour around a tea estate known for producing high quality CTC teas i.e Ethelwold Tea Estate. Aloso experience of Tea tasting session of different types of tea with one of the knowledgeable person in the field of the tea / practicing Estate Manager. After visit a weaving centre. Local village and local market. Stay overnight in Dibrugarh.
Day 11: Dibrugarh - Tinsukia
After breakfast visit Namphake village, Bells temple and Digboi, the first town of South Asia. Viit the Oil Museum and the 2nd World War Allied Forces Cemetery where 200 graves are permanently mentained by the Commonwealth War Graves Comission. Later check in at the hotel for stay overnight in Tinsukia.
Day 12: Tinsukia
After early breakfast visit Dibru-Saikhowa National Park and Magori Bheel for full day birding program. We take several boat ride on the Dibru River, go for jungle walk, Bird and Gangetic Dolphin-Sighting. Stay overnight in Tinsukia.
Day 13: Tinsukia – Dibrugarh – Guwahati - Departure
After beakfast assisted transfer to Dibrugarh Airport to fly for onward destination via Guwahati.
