Day 01: Arrive Chennai
Meet and assistance on arrival at the airport by your tour manager and transfer to the hotel for two nights stay at Chennai.
Day 02: Chennai
Visit Kalakshetra, a school teaching local art, music, weaving and designing, St. Mary’s, Sri Parthasarathy Temple and San Thomas Cathedral Basilica rebuilt in 1606.
Day 03: Chennai – Mahabalipuram
Drive to Mahabalipuram, en-route visit 2nd century old Kanchipuram, a city of a thousand temples and famous for its silk weavers, settled around 400 years ago. Stay two nights at Mahabalipuram.
Day 04: Mahabalipuram
Proceed for sightseeing and visit marvellous monuments with sculptural panels, caves, monolithic Rathas (Chariot) and Temples built in Pallavas dynasty. Evening enjoy walk to witness life of locals living in the narrow streets of this town.
Day 05: Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry
Travel by road to Pondicherry and enjoy sightseeing tour of the city ruled by French before independence. Stay overnight at Pondicherry.
Day 06: Pondicherry – Thanjavur
Drive to Thanjavur, en-route visit Chidambaram for its dancing Shiva Natraja sculptures illustrations 108 form of dances and Gangai Konda Cholapuram for its rich and intricate carved temples from Chola dynasty. Stay two nights at Thanjavur.
Day 07: Thanjavur
Go for sightseeing tour of city known as “Rice bowl” and famous for ancient handicrafts-making of bronze icons. Visit intricately carved temples dated back to 10th century and shop for souvenirs.
Day 08: Thanjore – Trichy
Enjoy short drive to Trichy claimed to be one of the oldest town established several centuries before the birth of Christ. Visit Rock Fort, ancient temples and walk around to witness the culture left behind by many rulers. Stay overnight at Trichy.
Day 09: Trichy - Madurai
Travel to Madurai and relax at the hotel or explore the town famous for silk weaving. Stay two nights at Madurai.
Day 10: Madurai
Visit a magnificent Meenakshi Temple and experience stunning architecture as the sculpted pillars tell the story of the beautiful princess of Madurai and her marriage to Lord Shiva
Day 11: Madurai – Periyar
Travel to Thekkady and enjoy the spice plantation tour to see crops of cardamom, cinnamon, pepper and purchase your favourite spice form the market. Stay two nights at Thekkady
Day 12: Periyar
This morning we enjoy wildlife safari at Periyar National park,Later in the day optionally enjoy elephant ride in the coffee garden
Day 13: Periyar – Private Backwater Cruise
Drive to Alleppey and embark on your private houseboat. Cruise through narrow canals and backwaters of Kerala and experience panoramic sights one can never forget. All meals and overnight on board.
Day 14: Kumarakom – Cochin
Disembark after breakfast and travel to Cochin, set on a cluster of peninsulas and islands in the Indian Ocean. Explore and witness the town possessed by many rulers. Enjoy your evening with Kathakali dance show at the theatre Stay overnight at Cochin.
Day 15: Cochin
Morning enjoy sightseeing tour and afternoon free to explore Fort Cochin. Evening witness Kathakali Dance Show.
Day 16: Cochin - onwards
After a leisurely breakfast the tour finishes with the transfer to the airport
